Modeling
Mock•Roos is recognized as one of the premier stormwater modeling firms in South Florida, having modeled thousands of miles of canals and associated watersheds.
Our expertise includes both H&H modeling and water distribution modeling.
- H&H Modeling - Hydrology is the study of the earth's water flow and distribution. Hydraulics represents the mechanics of water flow. Hydrology and Hydraulics (H&H) modeling uses a computer simulation to predict water flow through real-world environments such as canals and waterways.
- Water Distribution Modeling - Water distribution modeling uses computer software to approximate the behavior of water through real-world water distribution systems such as drinking water supply lines. Water distribution modeling can determine system capacity and reliability, rehabilitation scheduling, emergency response, and energy management for pipe networks.
Our experts analyze modeling results and then design the optimal solution for our client's needs. Mock•Roos has completed comprehensive watershed resource modeling for agricultural and highly urbanized lands ranging from three square miles to two hundred square miles.
To meet these various modeling needs, our team members have a high level of expertise using a wide variety of modeling programs:
- Streamline Technologies' ICPR 4
- USACOE's HECRAS
- Autodesk's InfoWater
- FLOW 3D Hydro (CFD)
- Autodesk's CFD
- Autodesk's Storm Sewers
