Water and Wastewater Utilities

Serving clients during these decades of tremendous growth in south Florida, the Company has extensive experience with both new and retrofit systems, having designed, permitted, and overseen the construction of thousands of miles of water distribution and wastewater collection systems. Mock•Roos engineers provide water system expertise including computer modeling, planning, well rehabilitation and construction, water storage tank design, and water treatment facilities design. The firm has valuable experience designing systems that rely on raw water from a variety of sources, such as surface water, the surficial aquifer, the Floridan Aquifer, and/or some combination thereof.

The Company also provides design and construction services for wastewater collection, reclamation and treatment systems. Mock•Roos engineers have designed and overseen construction of a wide variety of wastewater system components, from small neighborhood lift stations to large master pump stations to regional treatment and reclamation facilities.

Water Resources

Mock•Roos has provided highly-skilled water resource services to both government and private clients since 1954. The firm's team of water resource specialists has prepared a wide variety of stormwater master plans, facilities reports, and comprehensive plan documents for municipalities and special districts. Mock•Roos has been the recognized leader for the Palm Beach County Joint Municipal Separate Storm Sewer (MS4) National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit program since the application phase in the early 1990s. This program has required extensive coordination among all the county permittees, as well as with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, which was delegated administration of the program by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

Mock•Roos' engineer's and scientists stay current on new water resource technologies that assist in meeting clients' needs for successful, affordable solutions to complex water resource challenges. Since 1954, Mock•Roos has built a reputation for solving tough permitting and construction related issues encountered during land development projects.

Public Works

Established in Palm Beach County in 1954, Mock•Roos has grown along side the demand for public works infrastructure. Streets, drainage, and solid waste management are all directly impacted by the increasing population and demand for improved services. Geographic Information Systems (GIS)

Mock•Roos established itself as a leader in information management through the use of Geographic Information System (GIS) technology since 1989.

The firm's uses GIS in land development and planning, utility and public works project engineering, watershed delineation and analyses, stormwater management system modeling, and environmental studies. The Company has applied GIS to studies covering several thousand square miles, solving the many particular challenges posed by each geographic region.

Mock•Roos helps municipalities and special districts develop GIS programs by converting hardcopy, CADD, and database information into the client's selected GIS format.
