Grant Funding

Lake Worth and Mock•Roos have been very successful in identifying and securing grant funds to assist with the implementation of the Lake Worth Reverse Osmosis Water Treatment Plan Program. Over $1.4 million of the Floridan aquifer wellfield costs were paid for by SFWMD Alternative Water Supply Grant Program funds.

The RO plant qualified for grant funding under the State of Florida's Department of Environmental Protection's (DEP) State Revolving Fund Program. Lake Worth received $2.55 million under this Grant Funding program for the project.

Lake Worth also received a $6,950,000 low interest loan from the State Revolving fund.

The remainder of the costs for design and construction of the plant were paid for by a bond issue to private investors.
